How do I get there?

  • There are no direct flights to Malpaís/Santa Teresa. To get there, you have to book a roundtrip flight to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO), and then a separate (short & inexpensive) flight to Tambor Airport (TMU).

  • Once you make the deposit, we will assist you with booking flights

  • We would recommend booking through sites  like skyscanner.com, kayak.com/flights or google.com/flights which allow you to compare the different airline deals.

  • If you are flexible, look up for the “± 3 days” option, which allows you to see the most advantageous airfares in a little range of days.

  • Here’s some advices to find the best flight fares!

    * Make sure that your passport is valid for a minimum of 6 months following the departure date and that you have a return ticket or onward ticket to another country.

I see there’s an option for double occupancy, do I need to come with a friend to get that rate?

  • You don’t necessarily have to come with a friend if you don’t mind sharing a room and bed with a new friend! We will do our best to pair up people who wish to do double occupancy, but who aren’t coming with someone they know.

What’s the currency of the country?

  • USD is widely accepted.

Is there wifi at the hotel?

  • Yes!

What should I bring?

In February, the average daytime temp in Santa Teresa is a high of 88°F to a low of 79°F and can be quite humid. February falls in the middle of Santa Teresa's dry season (December-April), meaning you can expect plenty of sunshine and minimal rainfall.

Packing list:

  • Yoga mat!!

  • Yoga clothes, workout sweater

  • Bathing suits

  • A sunhat

  • Breezy, comfortable, casual clothing

  • Clothing and shoes you would wear on a nature hike

  • A reusable water bottle

  • Flip flops, sports sandals, or comfortable sandals

  • A beach towel and/or a sarong

  • Light, casual beachwear, swim cover-ups

  • Sunscreen with a high SPF

  • Bug spray

  • Water shoes

  • Earplugs - in case your roomie snores :)

  • Rash guard swim shirt if you’re prone to sunburns

If I change my mind, how can I cancel my trip?

We understand that life is unpredictable, that’s why we will try to accommodate the best we can. However, the cancellation of a trip will generate fees for us, and that’s why we only offer travel credits.

This is our cancellation policy :

– The deposit is not refundable

– 45 to 59 days prior to arrival: we will offer 75% of the value of your trip as a travel credit, valid for 24 months.

– 30 to 44 days prior to arrival: we will offer 50% of the value of your trip as a travel credit, valid for 24 months.

– 15 to 29 days prior to arrival:  we will offer 25% of the value of your trip as a travel credit, valid for 24 months.

*For cancellations made less than 15 days before departure date, we unfortunately can’t offer any credit.

*We highly suggest purchasing a travel insurance with a trip cancellation coverage in the case that you’d unfortunately be unable to attend your trip.
